Utility Scam Please be aware of a possible scam that the Linton Utilities has been made aware of. The scam involves someone posing as utility employee calling and requesting payment for a meter change, they are demanding cash within an hour or telling you that your services will be disconnected. If you receive such a call, please report it to the Linton Municipal Utility office at (812) 847 - 4971.

*** Important Information Request***

The Environmental Protection Agency recently revised the Lead & Copper Rule affecting all drinking water utilities. One requirement of the rule revision is that water utilities must create a service line inventory database to identify any lead service lines in the water system. This includes both the service line from the water main to the meter, and from the meter to your home or business.

Linton Municipal Utilities requests your help in completing this important survey to document the material of your water service line from the water meter to your home or business. The utility is asking this information to determine if there are any lead service lines in the water distribution system and for the completion of a lead service line inventory map. Please complete this survey and drop your response off at our office at 86 South Main Street Linton, IN 47441. If you have any questions please call the utility office at (812) 847-4971 The survey can also be completed on the City of Linton website at www.cityoflinton.com
