Public Information Request

Please note:  Indiana Code 5-14-3-1, et seq., states, "Providing persons with information is an essential function of a representative government and an integral part of the routine duties of public officials and employees, whose duty it is to provide information." Accordingly, any person has the right to inspect and copy public records during regular business hours unless the records are protected from disclosure as confidential or otherwise exempt under Indiana's Access to Public Records Act ("APRA"). You must identify the records you are requesting with reasonable particularity. Vague or overly broad requests may be denied, delayed, or returned for further clarification. Records may be subject to fee charges set forth in City of Linton Code of Ordinances.  If your request is not denied pursuant to APRA and responsive records exist, they will be made available with a reasonable time after your request is received.
